Richard Semanda, Pursuing B.A in Public Administration and Management Kampala International University holds a Dip in Mass communication, Professional Teacher. Currently he is the Executive Director and promoter of the Geriatric Respite Care Foundation – Uganda (G.R.C.F-U). Partial trainer of health and non-health professionals at Hospice Africa – Uganda and senior volunteer 1998 to date. Trained at the International Institute on Ageing, UN– Malta. Conducts training programs in Gerontology in Uganda and currently is carrying out a research with WHO on the Health Experiences of Older Women and Men in Africa (Towards Age-Friendly Cities / Communities), has been a presenter and speaker on various occasions on Gerontology and Palliative care conferences at both local and International level. Chairman Choice for Children Foundation Netherland Uganda 2009 to present. Chairman Rise and Shine Dyslexic Organization (RASDO) an organization for Children with specific Learning Difficulties 2007- present. Education assistant at St. Peters Primary School Nsambya 1996- 2000.
